Beautiful place with historic buildings you can go in. In the fall you can pick historic varieties of apples and they have great events throughout the year! Love this place to walk or have a picnic.
Loved it. It was very detailed. Which anything historical should be. They have different activities for different holidays. They also have historical and nature experts come in and talk. The impersonation video was excellent and matched the time period very well. There actors seemed like they were from that time period. You can go apple picking in there orchard in the fall.
We took a group of about 20 kids and camped out there at the French creek campground. Everything was very exciting and the kids had a blast. We even did the Junior Ranger course.
Easy to hike to from French Creek State Park. Very nice historical site. I highly recommend a visit. The Park Rangers there are very helpful and informative. Great place to take the kids. Beautiful grounds and a lot of interesting things to see and learn.
Great fun and educational opportunity for adults and children alike. Old furnace, with demos in early cast and wrought iron techniques. And in the fall one can pick apples!
